PC Loss of hearing in left ear

HPC first noticed this morning

wife said that he was hard hearing several day before

noticed some dizziness and nausea, too

had a severe cold last week that is now resolving

right ear not affected

PMH hypertension

diabetes mellitus type II

frequent nycturia

Above left knee amputation due to accident 1998

diverticulitis

DH amlodipine

metformin

paracetamol

SH works as a personnel headhunter

lives with wife and 3 parrots

has 2 adult sons

non-smoker

2 glasses of wine / day

FH father – cystic fibrosis

sister – Alzheimer’s disease
